When Simon Tam won his case in 2017 to keep the name “Slants” some actually thought he had shown the Washington Football Team the way to victory. I also talk to Native American journalist and author Jacqueline Keeler, who said her group Eradicating Offensive Indian Mascotry learned from Tam’s experience. Both she and Tam, acknowledge the role of #BLM, George Floyd, and Breonna Taylor for changing the racial climate in the country for the good.
